Some albums age gracefully. Others become legendary. Igne Natura Renovabitur Integra, the debut full-length from Neolith, do both.
Originally released in 1998 by Dogma Records, the album marked the culmination of the band’s early era and the definitive statement of their primordial sound: dense, blasphemous death/doom steeped in nihilism, metaphysical unease, and an atmosphere of pure decadence. While the band would later evolve toward a more brutal and technical direction, this record remains the blackened core of their identity — raw, immersive, and deeply symbolic.
Recorded between 1997 and 1998 at Manek Studio in Sanok, the album was engineered by Arek “Malta” Malczewski, known for his work with Behemoth and Decapitated, with the mastering handled by Grzegorz Piwkowski at High End Studio. Entering the studio with a clear artistic vision, the band crafted a conceptual work where music and lyrics intertwine into a single, nihilistic narrative.
Upon release, the album received outstanding reviews from both critics and the underground metal community. A wave of interviews, international press coverage, and live performances — including the band’s first shows abroad — cemented its reputation.
Nearly three decades later, the album still sounds strikingly fresh. Its atmosphere remains intact, and its lyrical themes feel eerily timeless — untouched by the erosion of years. It stands not only as a document of an era, but as a work that transcends it.
This reissue, prepared by Deformeathing Production, pays tribute to one of the cornerstones of the Polish underground.
This is a return to the time when the Polish metal was forged in the shadows — far from the spotlight, driven by conviction, atmosphere, and uncompromising authenticity.
For those who have been there since the beginning, it’s a journey back to the mid-90s underground — when the scene had its own weight, aura, and temperature.
For new listeners, it’s an open gateway into the legacy of one of Poland’s most respected extreme metal acts.
Fire purifies. Nature is reborn in flames.
The circle is open once again.
